Little Mosque

Tuesday, January 23rd, 2007

The Little Mosque on the Prairies is the best television show on CBC, ever. My favourite line so far is, “Yasir is no terrorist. He’s not even a card carrying member of the Conservatives.”

Whacky Seattleans on Climate Change.

Monday, January 22nd, 2007

Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth has caused a little bit of controversy. Okay, I’m a sucker for ‘controversial’ films starring former-Vice Presidents who discuss important issues, oh for example climate change. It all started when a seventh grade science teacher planned on showing the film to the student body at the Lakota Middle School in Seattle. It all started when the students’ parents started to complain about teacher featuring Gore’s film within the classroom because it was conflicting with their religious and political beliefs. M’kay . . . can you say intolerant?

I was watching a news programme based in Seattle and a father stated something like, “I’m a Christian. I think climate change is an important issue . . . it’s biblical, it is in the Book of Revelations . . . however, I don’t think its that BIG of an issue to teach our kids about it.”

So? Let’s protect our environment. I remember studying the Bible when I was younger and I remember that God wanted us to take care of the people and things around us. Well. The environment is around us, and if we don’t take care of it - we’ll be all in underwater cities. Well. the people who cannot afford to live in the Everest Apartment Complex . . .

Climate change is an important issue that we should be telling and teaching our future generations about the issues.

A Serial Killer on the loose in Mexico

Friday, January 19th, 2007

Mexico is quickly becoming a deathtrap for vacationing Canadians and has become a popular trend over the last couple of months including the deaths of Adam DePrisco, Dominic and Nancy Ianiero. There has been another two incidents in Acapulco, Mexico leaving one Canadian dead and one injured, their identities haven’t been released to the public. I believe that Stephen Harper’s government should invoke a travel warning for Canadians to Mexico immediately. The closes I’ll get to Mexico is Taco Del Mar. I am starting to think that there is a serial killer on the lose in Mexico and targeting Canadians.

Back to blogging . . . shortly

Thursday, January 18th, 2007

Yeah. So I moved over to my new webhost. It’ll take a bit to setup the entire blog, but I hope to start blogging again this weekend.

Shortly . . .

. . . Shortly, I’ll be moving the blog over to the new webhost under this domain.

Stop your jibber-jabber!

A fellow comrade-in-arms Jason Cherniak started a petition yesterday afternoon to call for Wajid Khan’s resignation, which I took seriously and signed. Within ‘minutes’ Kate MacMillan (Small Dead Animals) posted a direct link where right wing fanaticized hooligans put their tomfoolery to practice.

A few examples of their hooliganism:

And some wisdom from Mr. T:

Silly Taylor

Friday, January 5th, 2007

Blogging Tories’ very own Stephen Taylor announced yesterday Liberal MP Wajid Khan will be crossing the floor to join Conservative ranks sometime today. Monsieur Stéphane Dion stated the following, “in politics you hear many things and to me, Mr. Khan is a colleague. He will be part of the caucus; he will work in a positive way” and is a very “committed liberal”. Stephen Taylor’s background is not in investigative journalism and he is apart of the minority of bloggers who believe they can report the ‘news’ with getting away with it.

However, we all know to become a good journalist you cannot make speculative articles in your column or on the national news broadcast without concrete evidence. Mr. Taylor’s blog is the equivalence of a celebrity gossip magazine and almost far fetched as my favourite tabloid, The World Weekly News.

UPDATE: Khan just kissed his career in politics goodbye. In other news all should head over to Cherniak’s top five reasons for Khan’s defection.

UPDATE #2: Wow. Stephen Taylor was right but I still find him arrogant.
