You know, Harper was actually funny. This is about the 3rd or 4th time I have seen this video, of course, not with the little asides (nice touch), but Harper had a kind of humour that Canadians can relate too. Although I absolutely do not like Harper’s policies and political philosophy, this skit made him human and likeable.
The skit actually tells us more about our Canadian culture than other kinds of symbolism. WE don’t mind making fun ourselves and our Canadian pleasantness. The reality is that we are brutile on our leaders but they do reflect back our Canadianness.

That was funny.
And yeah the jokes were on Harper. When dealing with 22 Minutes the jokes are almost always on the politicians. He was playing along.
How does that make him look clueless?
