You know, because Harper deliberately stalling the inquiry to reduce any potential political damage in a likely election year is something Liberals would consider to be unthinkable. No... wait. Reducing political damage isn't the exclusive domain of federal Tories, is it? Because if the Liberals weren't concerned about political fallout from an inquiry, they wouldn't have shut down the Somalia Inquiry, just when we were starting to get some answers. You know, partisans of all stripes need to remember that we non-partisan voters have very long memories.

Just a few months ago, some Liberals were saying that Harper wanted Schreiber extradited ASAP, in case he was linked to the Mulroney/Schreiber business. Now, Harper says let the Ethics Committee finish its job then the inquiry can proceed. So if Harper wanted to get rid of Schreiber he would have called for the inquiry to begin immediately.

When Liberals get what they ask for, they turn around an ask for something different. This is all very confusing.

Yes, it's possible Mulroney embezzled an embezzler. You will get your inquiry and we'll find out whether one embezzled the other or whether they each other.
