Stéphane Dion is the top contender in the leadership race with one week remaining until the convention is in full swing. Dion has shown his dedication and commitment to both Liberals and Canadians everywhere. Stéphane is friendly, approachable, genuine, intelligent, funny, honest and trustworthy - all important qualities combined together, which makes a great leader. A leader that Canadians and Liberals want to lead the country into it’s next frontier, the future. Dion is the only contender who has established a vision for Canada, a vision that has major support across the country.

Stéphane won all three of the official party debates and played all his cards against Ignatieff, Rae and Kennedy and proved to be quick witted - he can beat Prime Minister Stephen Harper in the next election.

All Delegates, please reconsider Stéphane Dion as your choice, he’s certainly Canada’s.

No this time I am not here to discuss the international environment protection treaty that our conservative government recently axed. I am talking about Stephane Dion’s Husky, Kyoto. I am a dog lover, and I want to see Kyoto’s master, Stephane as Leader of the Liberal Party and the next Prime Minister of Canada. He dreams of chasing squirrels and rabbits off the grounds of 24 Sussex Drive. Will you help him? Donate $100 to Stephane Dion’s campaign and remember to support him at Convention. One vote for Dion, is one step closer to making Kyoto’s dream a reality.

The Northern Liberal has uncovered donations contributed to the federal New Democrats in the last election who is currently running as a contestant in the Liberal Leadership race. You’ve probably guessed Bob Rae? You’re correct.

You can confirm all of this on Elections Canada and I highly applaud The Northern Liberal for his investigative report on this issue.

This is inexcusable, now he’s invading our party to become the next leader of our party? Or even to hold the thought, Prime Minister? I think we should take a stand and say no to Mr. Rae this December.

I do apologize for the shortness, I am lazy.

In electoral districts across the country that has elected a member of Liberals as their representative in the House of Commons is automatically the candidate for the party without facing an opposition to be the candidate in that district.

Recently there has been a discussion within the Fleetwood—Port Kell’s Federal Liberal Riding Association to approach the party’s leadership and propose an additional term to this particular current standing of the party to allow the past candidate to hold the candidacy for the upcoming elections if they were within 1,000 to 1,500 votes of the winning contestant. This way we as a party can evade episodes such as not having a candidate within three weeks for example, which happened in Fleetwood—Port Kells during the Winter Election. I believe this would benefit Fleetwood—Port Kells and other riding across the country who have came in as a close second for example, Brenda Locke by eight hundred and something votes.

I would like to hear your comments.

A friend and more importantly a fellow Liberal, The Northern Liberal has created a petition to be presented to the National Director and Party President to come to an agreement to lower the cost for party members to attend the convention as a delegate at the end of November - early December.

The contest for Liberal leadership race has had its first dropper. Maurizio Bevilacqua is no longer a runner. He has declared his full support for Mr. Rae. Leaving only ten more able candidates in the running, however he is not the first to do so after John Godfrey picked up his hat from the racing circle back in April-May due to issues in relation to his family and health. Sadly, I never got the chance to meet Godfrey during his short lived race; however, I do hope to meet with him at the convention.

Let’s get back on track. I did have a great opportunity to meet with Maurizio when he was in town back at the end of May when he attended a Liberal gathering at a Bill Graham BBQ to fundraise to assist with ridings in British Columbia that need financial assistance to pay up their debt and place money in their war chest for the rumoured late summer – early fall election campaign. I told him that I had an acquaintance working for his Maritime campaign chair, Alain Bourgeois. Though, Alain was not around to comment.

I think Maurizio is an influential member of our party. However, I do hope that he receives a cabinet post when we are elected back into government. As most hopefuls, I hope it’s soon before Harper begins making bigger mistakes that threaten Canada’s reputation as an international cooperator. Oh, my bad. Placing too much faith into that man. He’s already made mistakes like that. However, that’s for another time.

I am sad to see his choice in supporting Bobby for Liberal Leader. I could give him forgiveness if he had chosen anyone except Rae and Ignatieff. If he chose, Dion – I would give him more praise that what he’s worth. Unfortunately that is not the case.

I have been meaning to write one of these endorsement entries for a long length of time after accidentally deleting the Liberal Country after establishing, The Anth Zone to continue my political writings on the World Wide Web. I have been committed myself to this candidate long before they declared them self as a candidate in the Liberal leadership contest. I believe he is a rarity amongst the politicians: he’s a fair, kind and honest politician from Quebec and yes, a true gentleman (most women can argue that’s hard to come find these days, email me for my number).

I am sure that I have made it clear by now that I am supporting Stephane Dion that has been deeply entitled on this site, I am just procrastinating to write my endorsement announcement. Though, please not that I did make time in my busy schedule to get time off in the beginning of April to meet potential leaders of our fair and just party.

Let me list off a few: Belinda Stronach, Michael Ignatieff, Hedy Fry, and Maurizio Bevilacqua. Later on, I had the opportunity to meet the rest of the candidates like Scott Brison and Carolyn Bennett at Young Liberal’s Camp Wannabe Free up in Peachland, British Columbia.

Oh and Martha Hall Findlay if you accept a video cast that was brought to us by her son and by the way, I feel very attracted to this woman. Unfortunately she is married, poor choice, Anth. Why do I continue to refer myself in third person like Bob Dole? I support Dion because…

He is for a green sustainable economy for Canadians which will bring forth prosperity in marketplaces here at home and abroad, which will create more jobs for the growing CANADIAN working class.

He is for CLIMATE CHANGE. We as Canadians should be educated on the complications that polluting our planet will be harmful for our children and our children’s children.

He is for a STRONGLY UNITED CANADA.

He is our greatest chance in the name of federalism.

He is for our Canadian farmer’s and rural communities in providing financial assistance and promoting Canadian agricultural industries to encourage a strong economy.

He is for improving and bettering our HEALTHCARE SYSTEM.

I support Stephane Dion to be our Leader of our Party and our Country because he’s the only best choice to repair the wrongdoings of the short-lived Conservative Government and allow Canadians to believe that good governance does exist in our nation.

I hate shit disturbers. Period. I have no support for any of them. Period. I may not support the leadership candidate that I am going to be discussing but he deserves the decency of respect. Period. His name is Michael Ignatieff. I may disagree with him on his stances on the Middle East and is academic intellectual attitude that could pressure him to trouble if he takes the leadership of our party on the fateful weekend at the end of November going into December. He does not demand of it from you. He deserves the respect.

Peter Wrightwater from Paper Dynamite Online has recently made speculations that Michael Ignatieff will be stepping out of the race due to health reasons and has been spending time with family. Let me make two things clear.

First of all, do not attack one’s health and two; do not attack one who wishes to spend time with his family. Michael Ignatieff has been on the leadership campaign non-stop therefore there is a possibility that he could be suffering from a serious case of fatigue and two, he has been across the entire country speaking on how he wants to lead our party to greatness in his perspective, now he wants to spend several days with his family. What is a big problem with that? Nothing.

Maple Leaf Politics [MLP] posted an entry with a poll attached and asked the following question, “If the Liberal Leadership Race was today, who would you vote for?” MLP however was feeling exclusive in this poll in excluding Mr. Dion from his ballot.
